If you’ve had an injury you can lodge an ACC claim with a doctor, physio, osteopath or chiropractor. Once you’ve done this it’s your choice who you see for treatment. Your ACC claim allows you to see an acupuncturist, physio, osteopath and/or chiropractor.
You can have a mix of treatments going at the same time such as acupuncture and osteopathy or acupuncture and physio and it’s all covered by your claim. Once your claim is activated by a treatment with a practitioner you have one year to use your treatments.
